Therapy is a chance to welcome what has been lost back into existence.

Recreate with me.

Hi! I’m Cindy.

My name is Cindy Jones. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate. I am currently supervised by Eva Escobedo, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. I completed a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. I also completed a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.

When I was a kid, I wanted to become a professional soccer player. Life had other plans, and I’m so glad it did. Being a therapist has given me the gift of tenderness. There’s something incredibly powerful about witnessing someone navigate pain, while still reaching for connection. It’s taught me that healing happens in relationship, and that being truly seen matters.

When you come to therapy with me, you’re going to meet a real person. I make jokes, I might curse, I’ll probably show you pictures of my cats. I value authenticity - yours and mine.

Before becoming a therapist, I ran a small charter high school in East Austin. I’ve always connected with young people who are trying to figure out life, identity, and where they belong. Those years gave me a strong understanding of the public school system, and a big heart for helping folks feel supported in environments that don’t always make space for them.

At the core of my work is the understanding that we are shaped by our relationships - and we heal through them, too. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed lens, which means I don’t look for what’s “wrong” with you. I listen for the stories, pain, and experiences that have shaped how you move through the world.

Outside the therapy room, you can find me bouncing between coffee shops, running along Town Lake, or parked in the sun with a book or sketchpad in hand.

Who Do I Work With?

Children and Adolescents

I work with children and adolescents who are navigating big questions about who they are and where they belong.

Many of the young people I support are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or feeling like they don’t quite fit in.

Whether it’s stress at school, tension at home, or feeling othered by friends, I create a space where they can show up exactly as they are—without having to explain or shrink themselves.

I help kids find their words for the hard stuff — the feelings and thoughts that can be tough to talk about but are important to share.

Therapy is a space for kiddos to be themselves, be listened to, and make sense of all the stuff they’re dealing with.

Young Adults

I work with young adults who are trying to figure it all out.

Many of the young adults I support are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or healing from earlier relationship wounds.

There’s a lot going on at this time in life. You have big decisions to make and you are trying to find your people. This is your time to decide what matters to you—but it’s normal to feel a little lost or unsure along the way.

I’m here to help you sort through those feelings and find a path that feels true to you. We’ll work on building solid relationships and making decisions that actually feel right—not what anyone else expects.

Therapy is a space for you to get to know yourself—maybe for the first time.

Adults

I work with adults who are craving more ease, authenticity, and alignment in their lives.

Many of the adults I support are LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, or survivors of trauma.

Trauma can show up in all kinds of ways—feeling on edge, shutting down, overthinking, avoiding, or just feeling disconnected from yourself. I help adults reclaim the pieces of themselves that were forced into hiding or battle—and start making space for those parts to be seen and heard.

I specialize in supporting queer folks - especially those discovering their identity later in life or healing from religious trauma. I’m here to honor and celebrate your path as you discover what authenticity and freedom mean for you.

Therapy is a space for you to dive deeper into healing work that allows you to make meaningful changes in your life. You don’t have to do it alone.

Services

I offer weekly in-person, virtual, and walk and talk sessions in Austin, Texas.

Individual Therapy

$150 | 50 minute session

I offer one-on-one sessions for kids, teens, young adults, and adults. Depending on your age and needs, sessions might include play, movement, laughter, time outside or creative expression - because healing doesn’t always look like sitting still and talking.

I use a mix of thoughtful questions to help you explore who you are, how you see yourself, and what helps you feel connected. I also support people of all ages in tuning into their bodies and understanding the signals they’re getting - because our bodies often tell the truth before our words can.

Parent Support

$165 | 50 minute session

I offer individualized support to the parents and caregivers of current clients. I help bridge the gap between kids and their grown-ups. Sometimes, I act as a translator—putting a child’s big feelings and behaviors into words that make sense to the adults in their life. I advocate for what the child needs, while also holding space for the parent’s hopes, worries, and questions.

I also offer guidance and support on how to talk with your child, especially during tough or crisis moments, so everyone feels a little more equipped and connected.

Parent + Child Support

$165 | 50 minute session

Sometimes it makes sense to bring a client’s parent or caregiver into the therapy room to talk through something together. This is a chance for me to offer support in real time - whether that’s helping a parent ask questions in a way their child can actually hear, sitting with tough emotions together, or practicing how to work through something as a team.

Together, we work toward a deeper understanding of what’s really going on—strengthening the relationship from the child’s perspective. The goal is always connection and understanding, not perfection.

Accessibility

I do not accept insurance. However, I do provide superbills, which can be presented to insurance companies for reimbursement of services.

I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help make therapy more accessible. Right now, those spots are full - but you are still welcome to reach out if you'd like to be added to the waitlist or talk through other options.

I’m committed to helping anyone looking for therapy find care that fits.

Are we a good fit?
